Easter

We have had a really beautiful Easter weekend. On Saturday our family went to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Anna and Cole had fun looking for eggs and playing with their friends. Corbin and I enjoyed visiting with our neighbors. That evening we went to Easter service and then Anna and I stayed to volunteer for another service. Anna enjoyed serving and it was fun to do this together.

On Sunday the crazy Easter bunny left clues all over the house but finally the baskets were found! Anna loves her new roller blades. Cole thinks his GI Joe guys are pretty cool. Tessa likes her new tricycle. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to be together. We are grateful for this Easter season. We are blessed in many ways.

First Tooth Gone

Cole lost his first tooth. He was so excited we didn't know if he would be able to go to sleep so the tooth fairy could come.

Spring Break

We had a fun spring break in Utah. We spent the first part of the week in St. George. Our family planned a fun cousin's camp for everyone. Anna, Cole, and Tessa enjoyed swimming, flying kites, tye dying t-shirts and playing with their cousins. Cole's favorite part of the trip was feeding the pigs, Zack and Lily.

The second part of the week we spent at Grandma Jane's house. We enjoyed watching Harry Potter movies, getting pizza, and swimming with our Partridge cousin's.

We had a fun week. It was great to see everyone.

Hello Spring

Thank you, spring, for coming to Indiana. We have missed you!

Pillow Pets

At our church there is a boy named Jake that has cancer. He came up with the idea to give pillow pets to kids at the hospital. His goal was to collect 1,000 pillow pets. Our church collected almost 2,000. Anna, Emily, and I had fun helping get the pillow pets ready to deliver to Riley Hospital and Peyton Manning Children's hospital. It is amazing to watch people work together on a great cause.

Tessa is 18 months old

Tessa is 18 months old. She weighs 25 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches long. She is starting to say a lot of words and is always pointing at things wanting to know what it is. She likes to point to body parts and say the sounds of animals. Her favorite stuffed animal is "Gora" and she loves to rub her soft fur and suck her thumb. Tessa likes to draw and color. She switches hands as she colors so it is difficult to see which hand she will write with. She especially likes to color when Anna and Cole are doing their homework. She wants to do everything they are doing. She likes to read books and spends a lot of time looking through books. She likes to spend time with her Dad and drinks a smoothie with him every morning. She likes to play hide and seek with Anna and watch shows with Cole. She is adventurous and goes down slides and climbs things without the least bit of fear. She likes to ride on the back of Mom's bike and go for bike rides and go for walks to look for birds and flowers. She is so fun and we are all so in love with her.

Anna's Baptism

It has been a special day for us. Anna was baptized today. It was special for many reasons. The first that this is a big step for Anna to make this decision. She has told us for awhile that she wanted to be baptized. We have talked a lot about it at home and church and also in a baptism class. She never waivered in her desire. The second reason is that Grandma Jane was able to come. Corbin and I have always thought that Anna resembles her Grandma in many ways and it was so nice for her Grandma to be here with us. The third reason is that Anna was baptized with one of her best friend's Emily.

Corbin was able to help baptized Anna and after she was done she held a towel for Emily. When Emily was done she brought Emily a towel and gave her a big hug. She loves her friend so much.

That day we were invited to the Boezeman's for brunch. It was nice to meet their family and so thankful that they included us in their special day. In the evening we had a party for Anna and invited some of the people who have been close to Anna and our family.

What a wonderful day to celebrate Christ and also the lives of two wonderful girls.

Christmas 2010

We had a fun Christmas. Some of the funny memories I have:

Tessa throwing her baby doll out of the stroller and only wanting to ride in the stroller herself.
Corbin playing lots and lots of games of Yahtzee and Mastermind (Not a big game player, see below for why!!!!).
Anna beating him lots and lots of times at Yahtzee and Mastermind. (This is why....see the hat above that says Queen of Yatzee...just to rub it in, she called me up to tuck her in for the third time, only to be wearing this hat singing....396, 396 which was her score.....how can I not love this girl!!!!)
Racing trucks on the race track with Cole.
Doing a lot of craft projects with Anna.
Eating dinner with the Palmer's. Thank you John and Kathy for being like family to us.
Having a wonderful day together.

FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY

One of the best gifts a parent could ask for!!!!

Anna gave us a card for Christmas.....honestly it broke us into tears.....we could not ask for better children. They are thoughtful and loving. We appreciate who they are.

Christmas Eve

Well we decided to start a new tradition and go tubing for Christmas Eve day. It was soooo much fun...it really was a true Christmas Spirit as there was the best Christmas Music playing over the loud speakers, snow, tubing, and most important family time together. No shopping, no commercialism, and no traffic. It was great. Tessa did soooo good as well....she kept nodding her head yes when asked if she wanted to go down the hills behind Lori and I.

Anna: "The best thing was making big family trains and going fast!"
Cole: "Going up and downs the hill by myself....and racing dad!"
Tessa: "Napping in the tube!"
Mom: "Family time!"
Dad: "Family togetherness and the spirit of Christmas!"

What a great day!!!!
