Trip to Park City

Well we made our annual trip to Park City this year and again and we really enjoyed our time out there......what a fabulous place to spend a day. I have to admit, we all had headaches from the elevation, I think we were all a little O2 deprived.....the pics are from the iPhone, not the best, but does not depreciate the good time we had!!!!

Game Night with DAD

Well Dad came out for the big came here in Indianapolis when the Colts played the Patriots. He left me a voice mail and said he had one of the best times that he has ever had. I have always had a very strong bond with DAD and hope to have the same bond with my kids. It was GREAT!!!!!

Thanksgiving Day

I am a little turkey short and fat

At Thanksgiving you can hear me shout
Open the gate and let me out!

Cole's School Picture

Well Cole is also growing up. He is enjoying school and we think he is learning and progressing. Cole has been on two field trips, one with Mom and one with Dad....not to mention a few school parties.....I guess there is a reason he loves school. His favorite classmate is Murry. He loves to spell his name....but most of all he just likes recess.

Two Months Old

Tessa went for her two month appointment and is doing great. She weighs 11 pounds 5 ounces and is 22 inches long. She is starting to smile and loves to look around at everything going on. She likes to go for walks in the stroller and swing in her swing. We call her a little hoot owl because she likes to stay up late with mom and dad.

There were five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, "Oh my, It's getting late."
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said "We don't care."
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run."
The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun."

Beautiful Fall Sunday

Well today was a beautiful fall day and we took advantage of it by going on a walk and to the park....it is hard to not find peace and joy in the beauty of the colors and the chill in the air. Times like theses only last for so many weeks in the fall if not days. We love our Sunday time together.

Missing Grandpa

Cole told me tonight he misses his Grandpa and his horse Fuzz!

The Cross Country Race

Well today, Cole and Anna ran in a H.S.E. Sports Organization Cross Country Race. They were the youngest, especially Cole. They were mostly 2nd and 3rd Graders, but the kids Awesome.....it was a Mile Race (almost...1500 meters). I was very proud of them to finish the mile race. They liked it. It was a very chilly day but they did great!

Fall in the back yard

We love our backyard. The fall colors has to be the most beautiful time of the year, sitting on our deck it feels like we are in the mountains, even though we are not. What a great place. The creek with the trees filled with beautiful colors.....it is soooo nice.

The Mother of all words......

So my boy finally said it, the mother of all words, he has been a hard time with the K and F sound which he has been practicing. Well, he took the word sucker and practiced. I told him that was the worst word a person could ever say and not to say it.... So what does he do this morning, he tells his mom he now knows what the worst word is and tells her! I got a phone call needless to say!

What a great visit

Corbin and CG
This Fish was caught by CG's DAD when we were just kids, I think it was caught in 1984 and what a monster, especially when I was 13 year old kid!!!

Cole out front of Mom's Cafe in Salina, Utah

Well, Cole and I on our way back up North had it planned to stop on Tuesday morning and visit CG Heath but was thankful he could change plans and take time out of his busy business day on Monday to get some early dinner/dessert at Mom's Cafe in Salina. I think we used to eat often on Sundays as a kid growing up as a family.

Seeing CG was probably on of the best highlights of the year for me. He is a great man!!! We were inseperable as kids until we grew and developed other hobbies....I hate to admit but we got away with ALOT as kids, much of which we both I believe have tried to forget, but luckily we both have wonderful families.....I wish I would have gotten a picture with his family. He took me and Cole around Salina, and eventhough things look the same things for sure change. We also visited his home in Redmond and saw places where we grew up.

Deer Hunt on Mt. Dutton, up above Antimony

Well it was a great weekend. Cole and I went out with DAD up on Mt. Dutton where it was windy and cold but great days as you can see. We rode Saturday all day and Sunday all day. I know it was rough on Cole, a 4 year old but he did GREAT. When asked how many times he complained the answer was zero, and he is right!!! The whole Gleave clan were awesome and it is sooooo awesome to be able to spend time at home up on the mountain getting back with my DAD and spending time with my son. Cole was the youngest on the mountain and my DAD was the oldest....how about that!!!! We were totally prepared for the ride, except I FORGOT sunscreen and my face looks like it. My nose and lips are swollen and painful. But what a great great great time!
Cole was able to see some great and rough country, some shooting of deer, was able to ride the horse by himself on the way down, as I rode on the back, and also got to ride with a dead deer on the horse as well. When asked what his favorite part was he told me it was playing with Mason, Robbie Gleave son who is one year older than Cole. Those two are quite the pair....my concern is in 10 years as we go back and back it to catch those two sneaking off doing things they should not be doing.
We did not go back up Monday, as we decided we better head up north and make our way.....which gave a us a chance to visit Salina!!! What a great time.
