What do you call a girl who goes to bed very late, wakes-up very early and talks a million miles a minute? A girl who is very excited for first grade.

We enjoyed eating our way through the Indiana State Fair. Lori's favorite: salt water taffy, Corbin's: corn dogs, Cole's: corn dogs, Anna's snow cones. No one was brave enough to try to chocolate covered bacon. It was the strangest food we saw this year (even above the deep fried Pepsi). It was fun to spend the day at the fair before Anna and Cole head back to school.

Our neighborhood is the best place to be for the fourth of July. On the third of July is the fourth of July preview night complete with roasting smores, riding ziplines and fireworks. On the fourth of July we had a bike parade where all of the kids in the neighborhood decorated their bikes and the fire truck escorted the bikes through the neighborhood. After that we have a picnic. In the evening we did our own fireworks because of rain. On the fifth of July we got to watch another great fireworks show in our neighborhood. Anna and Cole loved all of the late nights and fireworks. Corbin and I think we live in the best neighbhorhood.

We made a pilgrimage to the South Side Soda Shop in Goshen Indiana that was featured on the Food Network. We had fun drinking green river soda and fresh cut twisty fries. For dessert Anna ordered a plate of pickles. (we aren't sure if she is really a Partridge if she picks pickles over ice cream) but we will still keep her.
