Well I got a call today at the office telling me that Lori was bringing Cole in as he got bitten by a dog around his right eye. He is a trooper. When he saw me he quit crying and was a tough little boy. He had his superior eyelid (bleph type incision) that was completely open with one of the three fat pads protruding through the wound as the superior orbital septum was punctured. We started an IV and repositioned everything and closed the wound under general anesthetic in the office.
He is quite the kid.....his height level with a large dogs face and his go go go go that led to a snip which ended up being a facial bite by the dog. He was concerned about the dog as he did not want his friend to lose his dog. Accidents happen and I am just thankful we were blessed that although it was traumatic for Cole. Although a bad injury, this could have been much worse....we are just blessed his globe was not punctured.
